Today Han Kjøbenhavn presented its SS24 pret-á-portier collection at the official show calendar of Milan Fashion Week. A collection with sculptural shapes, special made metal elements, and a launch of the creative collaboration with leading erotic accessories platform Sinful.

On Friday night, the Danish fashion house presented its SS24 pret-á-porter collection in a co-ed show at the Palazzo Reale di Milano, The Royal Palace of Milan. The historical neoclassical location set the framework for an artistic direction of sculptural shapes and contrasts between elegance and brutality. The show also revealed a creative collab between Han Kjøbenhavn and Sinful – Scandinavia’s leading platform for erotic accessories.

Artistic Director at Han Kjøbenhavn, Jannik Wikkelsø Davidsen describes the collection, Unlightened Particles, as a metaphor to describe a hidden potential within something or someone;” There’s always aspects that remain undiscovered or not fully realized. It’s about enlightenment and the uncovering of hidden capabilities”.

Han Kjøbenhavn is recognized for fusing sculptural and beautiful forms of craftsmanship with brutal elements of metal – Unlightened Particles was no exception. The handcrafted metal elements were kept in a naive expression to emphasize the clothing and was implemented as saturated shoulders on suiting and shirts. Chunky leather boots with metal spikes, transitioned with the sculptural outfits. Memory leather, crepe wool, neoprene, and draped mesh was dominating fabrics throughout the collection, and the designs were kept in a muted color scale.

A key piece of the collection implemented Sinful’s Tongue toy – Creating a drapy, flared mesh dress, that connected the art of fashion with human desire. Mathilde Machowski, Founder of Sinful, elaborates on the creative collab; “Fashion and pleasure are totally connected. It’s all about exploring and being playful. We teamed up with Han Kjøbenhavn to mix our passions – Art and human desire – Making something that sparks curiosity and makes a statement”. The collaboration between Han Kjøbenhavn and Sinful also included custom-made tools based on Sinful’s Tongue toy. Several menswear looks completed the full expression and collection. The designs focused on tailored suiting in exclusive materials showing clean lines and sharp silhouettes, shaped by handcrafted metal details.
