‘I don’t know how to separate being an actor from who I am at this point,’ she says. ‘It’s almost intertwined in my life and identity. It would be more complicated to unweave it than to start something new’. In talks of recent projects, her latest series Ripley, a new adaptation by STEVE ZAILLIAN of PATRICIA HIGHSMITH’s 1950s novel comes to discussion. 

How does ‘Ripley’ stand apart from previous adaptations? 
Being an eight-episode limited series, you get to delve deeper. There is enough time to explore the story and the characters, to go deeper into their relationships and minds, especially ANDREW SCOTT’s portrayal of TOM RIPLEY. You get to see a very in depth examination of each character. It’s everything I hoped it would be and so much more. 

And your role? 
I’m one of the few antagonists in the series. I loved being one of the characters who was questioning him from the start—how do you question someone’s intentions without letting them know you are questioning them? It was very interesting to play this silent game between the characters. I believe MARGE SHERWOOD is a little bit of a mirror to RIPLEY throughout the series. 

In another setting deep in the Irish forest, DAKOTA takes on the protagonist’s role of MINA for her upcoming thriller mystery. ISHANA SHYAMALAN, following in her father’s footsteps, is on the brink of her directorial debut, The Watchers. When DAKOTA first read the script, her initial reaction was one of excitement. ‘It’s unlike anything I’ve read before. ISHANA is such a great person and creative, I just couldn’t wait to step into her fantasy world together.’
