On April 18th, Iranian-Dutch polymath Sevdaliza shares a highly anticipated part II of her 2023 single “Ride Or Die” with Villano Antillano. For “Ride or Die II,” she enlisted the trailblazing Dominican rapper and songwriter Tokischa, making the song a sonically expansive and experimental, down-tempo bi-lingual empowerment anthem for women.

A hard lean into the Latin pop space, the track sees Tokischa go all in with her thoughts on freedom of sexual expression, the perfect addition to the personal story of the transgender icon Villano Antillano on the original. This track continues Sevdaliza’s work in centering women’s stories all over the world. This includes her collaborations with Grimes on “Nothing Lasts Forever” and the Palestinian-Chilean artist Elyanna called “Good Torture”.

Speaking on the single, Sevdaliza says: It’s incredibly exciting for me to keep exploring new directions. Working with new artists gives a great dimension to my work. Having Tokischa and Villana Antillano on one song with me is the perfect cultural adventure I’m looking for.
