Actress Zoe Saldaña unveiled a bold and radical new creation from the Cartier Libre collection at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.

Fresh from presenting at the Academy Awards ceremony, the actress arrived at the exclusive event in a uniquely precious creation that blurs the lines between jewelry and couture: the flowing Cartier Libre cape that starts with a choker before twirling around the neck.

Cartier Libre cape, yellow gold chainmail links, onyx, diamonds
Clash de Cartier ring, 18k rose gold, diamonds
Trinity de Cartier ring, 18k white gold, 18k rose gold, 18k yellow gold, diamonds
Cartier Juste un Clou ring, 18k yellow gold, diamonds

Released each year in limited editions, the Cartier Libre collections question form and design, challenging expertise and savoir-faire in a constant pursuit of innovation. This truly elegant adornment is the first jewelry creation to come from this practice of unbridled creativity. It is composed of yellow gold chainmail links, each one textured and assembled by hand,
fitted with specially-developed gold zips and adorned with facetted onyx pendants set with diamonds. When worn, the cape fits the body like a second skin. A simple and uncompromising design that feels free and unrestrained.

“What I was drawn to most is the craftsmanship of this piece and how it plays with volume and dimensions. It’s a wearable piece of art. I’m thrilled to be debuting this one-of-a-kind creation”
