Donatella Versace’s latest collection, “La Vacanza,” draws inspiration from the sense of possibility and freedom that defines summer. It’s a vibrant celebration of graphic prints, featuring summer silks, satin, and jersey, perfect for day-to-night dressing. The standout print of the collection, Barocco Sea, pays homage to Versace’s legacy of sea-inspired motifs alongside classical art and mythology. This new graphic combines elements from iconic Versace prints, Trésor de la Mer and Barocco, featuring coral, shells, starfish, and ornate flourishes.

The collection includes a range of pieces for both men and women, from shirts and shorts to knitwear and dresses. Various techniques like embroidery, devoré, and broderie anglaise are used to explore the Barocco Sea print, offering different color combinations and material textures. Tailoring in lightweight summer wool maintains Versace’s signature strength, with details like the Medusa ’95 emblem and printed silk panels adding a touch of luxury.

Materials are carefully chosen for their lightweight and fluid qualities, including silk twill, double satin, and jersey with silk inserts. The color palette spans from dusty rose and ivory to beige and concrete blue, reflecting the mood of summer. Standout evening pieces include cocktail dresses in iconic metal mesh and column gowns adorned with starfish shapes crafted from Japanese natural pearls and crystals.

The collection extends to accessories, with summer raffia featured in bags and sandals. Women’s Alia sandals and Medusa ’95 bags come in a new dusty rose colorway with fresh silver hardware, while men’s Villa shoes offer versatility from formal to relaxed wear. Sunglasses and beach accessories complete the vacation experience, including crystal-embellished travel cups and swimwear.

The release coincides with images of Versace Global Brand Ambassador, Rosy Zhao, showcasing a lavallière pleated dress in the iconic Barocco print. Paired with patent leather Alia loafer pumps and a Medusa ’95 bag in crocodile-embossed leather, the look epitomizes Versace’s summer aesthetic.
