Luxury online retailer Mytheresa and Belgian luxury brand Dries Van Noten have partnered on the launch of a capsule collection for womenswear and menswear, which will be exclusively available globally on Mytheresa from April 27th, 2022.

True to the aesthetics of Mr Van Noten, the exclusive Dries Van Noten x Mytheresa capsule collection reflects the brand’s excellence and exceptional craftsmanship and captivates with ready-to-wear pieces and accessories for both women and men.

The exclusive summer capsule features Mr Van Noten’s signature mix of references in a cohesive collection. The womenswear styles feature jewel-coloured stripes, eclectic check prints, nods to post-cards of sunsets and tropical flowers across man-style tailoring and lightweight dresses.

The menswear styles follow a pickin’ mix approach with fluid camp-collar shirts and pants, emblazoned with diamond, ornamental and floral all-over prints.

Accessories for men and women complete the ready-to-wear styles with striped sandals, floral totes and chest bags, bucket hats, retro sunglasses and bold cuff bracelets.

About Dries Van Noten

Born in Antwerp in 1958, Mr Dries Van Noten is the third generation in a family of tailors. At the age of 18, Dries began his studies in fashion design at the renowned Antwerp Royal Academy. On graduating, he began to freelance as a consultant designer before starting his own collection of menswear in 1986. Dries has presented collections for women and men for spring/summer and autumn/winter in Paris each season ever since. He celebrated his 50th fashion show in 2004 and 100th fashion show in 2017, each to great acclaim.

In June 2008, the Council of Fashion Designers of America honoured Dries Van Noten with its International Designer of the Year Award. 2014 saw the grand opening of Dries Van Noten, “Inspirations”, a first-ever exhibition featuring his designs and influences at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Another configuration of the exhibit opened at MoMu in Antwerp in 2015. In July 2014, France decorated Dries Van Noten with the honour of Officier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. In October 2016, Dries Van Noten won the Culture Award from the province of Antwerp for his contribution to the culture of the nation. His passion for fashion and his dedication to his craft prevails.

In June 2018, Puig entered the capital structure of Dries Van Noten as the majority owner. The designer remains, over the long term, a significant minority shareholder and continues his role as a chief creative officer and chairman of the board.

In June 2020, and September 2021, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has again nominated Dries Van Noten for its International Designer of the Year Award.
