THE ISABEL MARANT FALL-WINTER 2023 SHOW FULFILS DESIRE TO CUDDLE UP IN COMFY KNITWEAR AND SWADDLING COATS
The desire to curl up in cozy knits and comforting coats. The disorder of a certain irreverence, a sexy and cheeky attitude.
The perfecto spirit permeates the collection, where leather and metal zips dominate. They close jackets and pockets and fit into pieces like precious details that uncover a collar or split a dress.
The graphic cutouts of the blur form new necklines and a series of games of transparency subtly reveal parts of the body. These supple and feminine fabrics are contrasted by thick cable knits, dyed denim, wool and warm shearlings.
The color palette, initially natural and minimalist, explores yellow and magenta horizons before plunging into black. A scintillating evening mixes textures – embroidery, velvet, lurex – and volumes – oversized, fitted, cropped.
In the room, the soundtrack of the parade played live by DJ Gabber Eleganza and Lulu Van Trapp resonates and intoxicates the crowd. An original creation based on the idea of desire and disorder, mantra of the season.
