The Hoxton’s 10th hotel transforms a ‘70s building in a leafy corner of the Eternal City

The Hoxton, Rome has opened its doors in Parioli transforming a ‘70s building into an exciting new destination for locals and travelers alike. The hotel boasts 192 bedrooms; Beverly, a Californian-inspired restaurant with a farm-to-table ethos; Cugino, a café and aperitivo bar; a large open lobby; a beautiful outdoor terrace; and L’Appartamento, a unique meeting and events space.

Located in the tip of Parioli, the hotel has some of the city’s most beautiful parks including Villa Borghese in easy walking distance for guests to explore. Parioli itself is an upmarket neighbourhood, full of gelaterias and local trattorias, as well cultural institutions MACRO (Museum of Contemporary Art) and MAXXI (National Museum of 21st Century Art).

BEVERLY
Located on the ground floor of The Hoxton, Rome, Beverly is a Californian-inspired menu which embraces a farm-to-fork ethos, with a menu devised by Sara Levi, Sous & Pastry Chef of the Rome Sustainable Food Project. Promising to be something different for Rome, Beverly brings the holiday mood, and energy and freshness of the American West Coast to the Eternal City through colourful, healthy dishes that let seasonal, local produce sing.
The name itself reflects its Californian cuisine, whilst also paying homage to the building itself which formerly housed the Beverly Hills hotel, before being entirely redesigned with the rest of the hotel by the Ennismore Design Studio, in collaboration with Fettle Design. The space is light and airy, with plants hanging from the ceiling, soft tones, natural materials, and ceramic plates on the wall, by the futurist artist Sante Monachesi.

Not-to-be missed highlights include: Cacio e pepe tater tots with anchovy sauce; Non McCarthy Salad, inspired by the famous McCarthy Salad of the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, but reimagined using ten seasonal Mediterranean ingredients; Grilled flank steak with Italian chimichurri; Seasonal crudités with crispy tortillas and a ‘Green Goddess’ sauce; and the Linguine with scampi cream and crusco pepper.
