Launching on November 15th, 2023, in stores worldwide and on balenciaga.com, the first ever Balenciaga Skiwear collection debuts a wide range of winter sport products in the form of technically advanced ready-to-wear, accessories, equipment, and gear.

Using innovative materials and techniques designed for visibility, insulation, aerodynamism, and protection, the collection evolves themes that have become Balenciaga signatures while introducing functional athletic objects—a snowboard, skis, a helmet, and poles for downhill, cross-skiing, or hiking—for the first time. The collection includes parkas and cargo pants in membrane-bonded technical ripstop with integrated snow gaiters, sophisticated ventilation systems, battery life-saving pockets, and ski pass holders. Jackets and vests in quilted matte nylon, as well as five-pocket ski pants in bonded stretch nylon and close-fitting fleece jackets echo the House’s classic silhouettes, including the Hourglass Jacket and the Puffer.

Outerwear is treated to be water-repellent, keeping the wearer warm and dry. Most pieces are available in black, grey, or red. Thermal layers, available in black, include hoodies and long-sleeved half-zip tops in heavy molleton, fluffy knits, fisherman- ribbed wool, and mink-style faux fur.

Padded gloves in durable ripstop clip to a wearer’s jacket sleeves. A ribbed knit beanie incorporates sunglass lenses that can fold over the eyes. These, plus a selection of cold weather-specific leggings, socks, facemasks, gloves, and scarves in several shapes and materials are marked with a sporty, reflective Balenciaga logo.

Technical ready-to-wear like waterproof fleece-lined jeans in blue stretch denim bring a casual look to the trails or après-ski, as do a pole-attachable Ski Backpack and a Ski Belt bag, each fitted with lined scratch-free pockets for goggles and made from water-repellant recycled nylon in black or red.

The Alaska Boot interprets a typified shoe developed for arctic conditions, giving it outsized proportions and a stylistic bias. A foam form is covered in nylon, leather, or faux fur and thermally lined.
The 3XL Ski Sneaker is a snow-capable version of the original 3XL, designed to face the winter elements. A water-resistant interior film protects the shoe’s wearer from moisture, while a separate spiked crampon can be attached via a rubber harness and chains, elevating its athleticism.

The Balenciaga Snowboard and Balenciaga Skis come in two sizes. Both equipment products have the Balenciaga logo on their bases in white, and the nose of their mirrored Titanal topsheet is marked with the sporty B logo. Ski poles are available in two sizes, and hiking ski poles in one retractable size.

A Balenciaga Helmet is made in collaboration with trusted protective wear supplier Briko and is available in three sizes.
