Pioneering digital-only fashion house The Fabricant has partnered with renowned musician Sevdaliza for a provocative collection of digital wearables, called XXories. The Iranian-Dutch artist, known for her unique blend of experimental electronic music and raw self expression, is the face of the collection in a role The Fabricant describes as its ‘Icon’. It’s the first time a high-profile real world artist has become the face of a digital-only fashion collection.

The XXories (pronounced accessories) are a range of digital facewear that includes virtual earrings, facial piercings, and nose chains, which can be worn via AR. The highly-crafted pieces elevate the visual benchmark for digital fashion AR wearables with a provocative aesthetic that appears to pierce the skin, inviting users to ‘wear your pain’.

The creations are the debut line in The Fabricant’s WHOLELAND digital fashion project, which focuses on embracing your shadow so you can freely express your whole self. The wearables act as a key that unlocks access to future collections and activations in WHOLELAND, giving purchasers unique benefits and privileges in the virtual space

Sevdaliza appears in the campaign in avatar form as a digital twin created by The Fabricant. The digital atelier’s visual effects team used motion capture and Unreal Engine to recreate Sevdaliza’s face in 3D after filming her in real life, adding lighting elements to enhance the visual mood.

In line with WHOLELAND’s mission to enable everyone to freely express their whole selves through digital fashion, digital Sevdaliza invites viewers to “Embrace your ugly, flaunt your flaws, celebrate you weird.”
