Luis de Javier’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection promises an evolution for the brand. Mentored by Riccardo Tisci, Luis de Javier is poised to enter a new era focused on bold, accessible ready-to-wear with genderless silhouettes that speak to the future of fashion.

Inspired by the 90’s hardcore rave movement in Spain called ‘La Ruta del Bacalao’, which was shut down by an oppressive government, de Javier wants to imagine a utopia in which this movement would still be alive today.

“Fashion has always mirrored and explored socio-political issues. With this collection, we aim to reflect, question, and spark a dialogue on pressing matters, like the rise of a nationalist, far-right political party, that are affecting Spain and the world today.”

Channeling a fearlessness that extends beyond queerness and to women, the designer wants this collection to challenge, provoke, and inspire.

The collection features latex, leather, corsetry, jersey and workwear. Accessories, including teeth flats, shoe covers, rubber spikes, necklaces, earrings, were created in collaboration with Aslan World.

Luis de Javier is partnering with social commerce platform emcee for this collection. “I’m excited to be working together with emcee, as their innovative retails platform is leading the way for designers and creators to collaborate and connect”.
