Two iconic brands bring Fantasy Vintage to life
Limited Edition Footwear Capsule

California denim brand RE/DONE and heritage footwear brand Scholl Shoes come together with a limited edition shoe capsule for Spring/Summer 2023. RE/DONE continues its ethos of making the old something new. Scholl’s iconic Pescura silhouette is being responsibly redesigned in five brand new colours

Based on the original

On an endless search for the most nostalgic heritage references, RE/DONE fell in love with the original Scholl Sandal, a style that has stood the test of time. In true collaboration, the brands have made thoughtful changes, from slightly higher heels and square toe shapes to re-engineered vintage hardware and a thicker leather toe strap. Color variants include black and red patent leather with lacquered wood, classic neutral leather and denim made from upcycled denim remnants from RE/DONE.

Mindfulness

The collection has been consciously crafted with a shared mindfulness. Each shoe features a handmade, artisanal natural beech wood clog sole, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, and the leather used comes from factories audited by the Leather Working Group.

The collaboration

RE/DONE x Scholl use their shared expertise to create the perfect vintage-inspired sandal that has never existed before.

“RE/DONE, which shares with Scholl Shoes the ambition to elevate original icons, was a perfect and natural partner for us to continue our journey within the fashion world. Our heritage makes us unique. The original Pescura, presented in this collaboration celebrates both our history and our future.”

Tobias Klaiber, CEO Scholl Shoes

“Collaborating with heritage brands to recreate classics is at the heart of what RE/DONE does, so our collaboration with Scholl was a no brainer. The first concept was born when we found a vintage pair of their sandals with the most incredible construction and details. We didn’t want to just make a reproduction – we wanted to combine the features of the vintage pair with a square-toed silhouette. There’s something special about reimagining a shoe that almost everyone can relate to and I couldn’t be more excited about the result.”
