PARAJUMPERS REMOVES FUR DETAILS IN ITS FW 22/23 COLLECTION
Parajumpers is committed to research and innovation in its collections, season after season, with an increasing attention to the sustainability. One of the most significant changes of this year is the decision to remove fur details from the collection. Particular attention is also paid to the research of materials: always looking for the most sustainable solution, more than 20% of the new collection is made with recycled fabrics. Parajumpers also commits to increasing this percentage more and more, season after season.
The commitment to sustainability goes beyond the choice of materials, but it also expresses itself through the creation of garments that are resistant and with a timeless design, while maintaining the unique and recognizable style of Parajumpers. With these premises, the FW22 collection presents several novelties that will thrill Parajumpers enthusiasts, as well as speak to a new, younger audience that pays attention to style as well as social issues. The iconic Parajumpers family is doubling up for this season: the Masterpieces are joined by the MASTERPIECE CORE series. The garments of this new family are the historical models but lightened by some details, for a more essential look.Alongside the more classic families, we see the addition to the men’s Parka collection of more innovative families with an avant-garde design.
A new addition is the FOUL WEATHER series, designed for colder climates thanks to abundant down filling and laminated ripstop inserts on critical points, in two contrasting colours and with the iconic parachutist hook. The now iconic Pararescue family is joined by the RESCUE PUFFERS, in a combination of fabrics, with an oversize fit and a colour palette made interesting by the garment dyeing. In the men’s Puffers category, there are two new families: POWDER and LUNAR JACKET. The first features a very high down proof Pertex fabric, with direct injection of goose down filling, and a contrasting lining for an extremely light yet high performance family. The Lunar Jacket, on the other hand, is filled with down and with a “space” style, is the youngest and coolest style in the collection.Moving on to the women’s collection, the new families and the new colours add verve to the entire collection. In the Parkas category, the COOL DOWN series presents itself as a family of two very warm and at the same time extremely light jackets, with oversize silhouettes but marked at the waist by a belt with buckle.
The NEW NATURE series, on the other hand, is the perfect mid-season solution: made of 100% biodegradable fabric, they are presented in a colour-block variant.Fabric combinations always give that extra touch to jackets, as we see in these two new families: UNITY SONG and SKYLINE, from the Parkas category. The first is characterized by the combination of shearling and nylon; the second by the game of texture contrasts given by the two fabrics, one light and the other more structured.
