After the success of their first collaboration, C.P. Company and Palace are teaming up again for another collection that fuses the Italian brand’s innovative sportswear with Palace’s eclectic aesthetic.

Born in the South Bank, one of the most important hubs of London’s skate scene, Palace is known for fusing vintage and contemporary influences into streetwear silhouettes. For the second chapter of this collaboration, Palace has taken some of C.P. Company’s iconic shapes and fabrics, resulting in a collection that blends technical know-how with an experimental aesthetic and meticulous focus on detail.

The Goggle Jacket, with its removable fleece lining, is made from Kan-D, a monofilament nylon, so named for its resemblance to the cellophane candy wrappers of the 1950s and 1960s, with an extremely transparent texture and shiny surface. The transparency of the fabric highlights the PALACE COMPANY logo printed on the back, the front branding and all the flap pockets.

The Goggle model itself has been recreated in a lined silhouette in a bright and shiny orange color, also thanks to the use of Flatt Nylon, a brushed nylon that gives a softer fabric and a matt finish. The jacket features a hidden and removable face mask.

Meanwhile, the Explorer Jacket, another icon of the C.P. Company catalogue, has been reproduced in D.D. Shell Rip-Stop, a thinner uncoated nylon that, combined with the Direct Down injection process, gives the garments greater softness and a more nuanced light/dark effect.

Palace’s irreverent approach is even more evident in the range’s accessories, such as the transformable Nylon B shoulder bag. Thanks to its versatile structure, it can be used as a backpack or a messenger bag with adjustable straps and buckles. The range also includes a goggle beanie with a straight visor and a down-filled D.D. Shell scarf and a baseball cap with earflaps and goggle lenses on the back.

The second chapter of the collaboration also includes a range of everyday garments such as cargo pants in Flatt Nylon, a hooded sweatshirt in cotton fleece, a short-sleeved t-shirt with the distinctive graphics of both brands and a lambswool funnel neck sweater.

To celebrate the launch, Palace have created a beautiful campaign that constitutes a love letter to CP Company’s rich heritage and to the great beauty of northern Italy. Directed by Michael J. Fox and Stuart Hammond, the film stars Palace skate team members Lucien Clarke, Rory Milanes, Danny Brady and artist Andrea Renzini – 1980s muse of Massimo Osti.

The collaboration will be available from 8th December at Palace stores and online at palaceskateboards.com and exclusively at the C.P. Company flagship store in Milan and online at cpcompany.com
