Nominations Dutch Design Awards 2022 announced
The 24 nominees in 8 categories for Dutch Design Awards 2022 have been announced. Every year, Dutch Design Awards (DDA) celebrates the best Dutch designers and their most impressive and groundbreaking projects, and examines the impact that these different disciplines, perspectives and solutions have on our society. DDA will announce the winners during a live DDA Award Show. This will take place at Dutch Design Week 2022 (from 22 to 30 October) and mark the 20th edition of DDA.
Independent expert juries of design specialists nominated three projects in each of the following categories: Product, Habitat, Communication, Fashion, Design Research, Data & Interaction, Best Commissioning, and Young Designer. They assessed the projects based on the criteria: impact, distinctive character, expressiveness, and production method, sometimes with additional category-specific criteria. They were led by expert jury chairs Chris Kabel (Studio Chris Kabel), JaapJan Berg (Bergplaats), Mieke Gerritzen (The Image Society), Iris Ruisch (M-ODE Foundation), Angelique Spaninks (MU Hybrid Art House), Daniël Sytsma (Isobar & Dentsu), Tijn van Elderen (Brabantia), and Evelien Reich (ELLE Decoration NL).
