May 12, a day declared as Grey Day by New Balance in 2018. The impact and influence of New Balance’s legendary gray tones are celebrated every year on this date.

In honor of the iconic gray shade that characterizes the brand, New Balance is releasing the Grey Day Moon Daze collection on May 12 this year. This collection features innovative renditions of popular models such as the 550, 580, 9060, and More Trail. With this collection, New Balance looks towards the future and prompts us to contemplate what would be possible if New Balance were the first sneaker on the moon. How would shoes look after walking on another planet? The Moon Daze collection allows us to engage in these thought experiments and offers a vision of the future of the sneaker world.

To celebrate this day and collection, Grey Day received a Dutch amplification through a collaboration with leading Amsterdam sneaker store, Sneaker District, and musical talent BNNYHUNNA. In addition to Sneaker District serving as the exclusive retailer for the Moon Daze collection in the Benelux, the retailer will co-host a jam session on May 10, 2023, at Bitterzoet, one of Amsterdam’s most popular music venues. The jam session will be led by Benjamin Ankomah, known as BNNYHUNNA, a young musician and a friend of Sneaker District and New Balance. BNNYHUNNA will be accompanied by his band for the jam session.

The highly talented Dutch artist has shaken up the local scene by boldly blending hip-hop, jazz, and classical music into a fresh and progressive style that is uniquely his own. As such, BNNYHUNNA fully qualified himself as an ambassador for New Balance Grey Day.

The collection will be available from May 12 on and exclusively through retailer Sneaker District, both online and in-store.
