On Saturday, September 3, fashion house NATAN showed the latest SS23 ready-to-wear collection at Valley, on the Beethovenstraat in Amsterdam. The venue recently won the Emporis Skyscraper Award for ‘best new skyscraper in the world’.

In a digitized world, NATAN aims to bring poetry to our modern times with its spring and summer 2023 collection. The collection finds its inspiration in nature and technology and connects the physical and virtual spheres. This association resulted in designs that translate Couture influences into digital colors and prints, combining natural fabrics with technical ones.

Inspired by painters such as Ross Bleckner and Gerhard Richter, NATAN developed its own faded flowers, over-pixelated patterns and transformed traditional motifs into modern creations.

Thus, nature is intensified and magnified to emphasize its simplified abstract beauty, mixing technology-influenced pastels like lavender, soft pink and fresh mint with illuminated neons like hot pink, bright orange and fresh white, balancing the whole palette with earthy tones. We see a continued revival of the essence of Couture tailoring with a new modern approach, leaning towards sleek minimalism.
