Bvlgari announced the appointment of renowned designer Mary Katrantzou as its very first creative director of leather goods and accessories, a new facet to the 140-year journey of the historic Roman jeweler. This appointment marks a new chapter in the evolution of the luxury brand, pushing the boundaries of creativity and craftsmanship.

“The rich cultural heritage and dual Greco-Roman roots of Bvlgari have played an integral part in my formation as a designer. I’ve always been inspired by the design codes and syncretism of Bvlgari, its mastery of colors and the depth of narrative. I’m deeply honored to be the first Creative Director of Bvlgari Leather Goods and Accessories, leading the creative vision for this new chapter and elevating everyday life into a form of art.”

She shares not only the Greek origins with Bulgari, but above all the search for excellence in the choice of materials, the way in which they are transformed with a particular emphasis on craftsmanship and a passionate love for colors. We are certain that what we are starting with this visionary designer is a path full of successes.”

Mary Katrantzou, a pioneer in the global fashion scene, will reprise her role as creative director of her own brand alongside her new position at Bvlgari. Mary Katrantzou’s debut collection of Bvlgari leather goods and accessories will be available in Bvlgari boutiques worldwide from August 2024.
