MAIUM – new sustainable rain jacket brand on the radar
Inspired by years of wet bike rides, MAIUM was founded by two friends who saw nothing but traditional jackets that lacked style and function. With busy lifestyles and unpredictable weather conditions, MAIUM is a product of its environment, designed to help protect you from the elements of nature through innovation in design, function, and materials.
The fashion industry is one of the most environmentally damaging industries in the world, which is why progressive designers must combine fashion and design with sustainable, functional, and timeless alternatives. MAIUM uses sustainable materials that are not only waterproof, but are also produced from recycled plastic bottles, contain no harmful substances and are manufactured under fair, safe and healthy working conditions.
In the next 2 years, Maium expects to grow to a level where they recycle at least 5 million plastic bottles per year. In collaboration with the Eden Reforestation Projects, Maium plants more than 10,000 trees per year. In this way they neutralize their C02 emissions and make a positive contribution to biodiversity.
