From 07:00 on Tuesday 13 December, a grand golden Moët & Chandon champagne bottle could be seen on the A’DAM Tower. This spectacular light installation could be seen for 24 hours from Amsterdam North, Amsterdam Central, the water and from the air. In the evening, friends of the French champagne house gathered to raise a glass of Moët Impérial at the Effervescence event. Invited guests including Akwasi, Don Diablo, Envy Peru, Loiza Lamers, Olcay Gulsen, Ronald van der Kemp and Ruud de Wild were present on the 16th floor of the A’DAM tower. That evening was centred around the ‘Toast for a Cause’, where Danie Bles (ambassador Moët & Chandon) and Bas Roels (working as Programme Manager Dutch Landscape at the World Wildlife Fund), made a toast to a beautiful donation donated to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF-NL) on behalf of Moët & Chandon.

MOËT & CHANDON MADE THE CITY OF AMSTERDAM SPARKLE DURING THE ICONIC EFFERVESCENT PARTY

From 07:00, the city of Amsterdam could enjoy the dazzling champagne bottle on the A’DAM Tower. The impressive installation made of 50 LED screens ensured that the champagne bottle was visible 24 hours from the centre of Amsterdam, the water and the sky. That evening, the A’DAM tower opened its doors at 20:00 for friends of Moët & Chandon. Invited guests including Olcay Gulsen and Don Diablo entered via a golden entrance. The fully gold-wrapped lift took them to the 16th floor where the evening’s iconic party took place.
Upstairs, guests were given a mini Moët Impérial to start the evening and the eye was treated to an impressive balloon installation created by Micha de Haan, an Amsterdam-based artist. Acts like live piano playing, a ballerina, the most beautiful sounds by Valentijn Hingh, among others, and an impressive champagne tower completed the evening.

Both inside and outside, the French champagne house managed to transform the A’DAM Tower into a breathtaking experience entirely dedicated to celebration and effervescence.

TOAST FOR A CAUSE
This year, the French champagne house once again invited all attendees to raise their champagne glasses to a charity initiative ‘Toast for a Cause’. An initiative that first saw the light of day on the Hollywood red carpet in 2009. Bas Roels was introduced by Danie Bles during the party to raise a toast together to the charity initiative and the beautiful donation to the World Wildlife Fund. Moët & Chandon Netherlands is donating to this global organisation this holiday season. An organisation that focuses on protection and preserving nature, something Moët & Chandon is also happy to support.

” A sustainable society is the guarantee of everyone’s future well-being. We are extremely happy with this donation. It helps us give shape to our nature-positive strategy which means there is more room to enjoy nature and live in beautiful surroundings even in a busy country like the Netherlands.” – Bas Roels (WWF-NL)

The World Wildlife Fund aims for a ‘Nature Positive’ world where they want to move from loss of nature to gain of nature as quickly as possible. With this ‘Toast for a Cause’, the French champagne house is doing its bit.
