In his latest collection, Jonathan Anderson wanted to highlight materiality, which enhances the silhouette. In LOEWE FW23 Men’s Runway Collection, the palette of colors is reduced, based on the materials and their reaction to light.

Jonathan Anderson created a dialogue with the old master painters, using raw materials such as velvet, wool, leather and steel. We discover a collection in which the shapes are frozen and folded, as if taken from a mold.

The interest in the old masters is also reflected in the works of Julien Nguyen. The American artist created three original artworks for LOEWE, depicting regular model and muse Nikos with devotional intensity.

The two large scale digital images created for the presentation depict Nikos in scenes taken moments apart, across time. Captured in a situation of domestic intimacy, his body is inscribed with signs and symbols that muse on the power of love.
