“Different”, takes the listener and the dancer into an energetic and sensual world, and aims to empower people, especially women, and give them the strength to carry on.

Joiah is an extraordinary talent. Talented music producer, outstanding singer and Italian-Colombian DJ with a wild beat, her mastery of all mediums makes her an artist in her own way. Born in Padua, under her real name Gioia Carraro, she was immersed in music from an early age, thanks to her mother’s pop culture and her grandfather’s love of classical music. She began playing the piano at the age of 6, and that was the start of a long and brilliant musical journey. Rich from her multicultural roots and international friends, Joiah has been rocked by music all her life. She began producing and writing after arriving in Miami and is now pursuing her career in Amsterdam with Klassified Records, a Dutch label run by Thomas and Julien De Bie (Parallelle).

Shot in the sweltering heat of Miami, the video clip of “Different”, part of the EP, follows our talented artist, bubbly and sensual, wandering and dancing to the rhythm of the music.

Joiah’s signature sound is warm, gritty and punchy, fluctuating between house and minimal breaks with soulful vocals. A perfect juxtaposition of 90s grooves, ethereal, sensual vocals and deep synthetic sounds.
