For its 15th anniversary runway, JACQUEMUS set cap to Capri for a sensual visual exploration. Simon Porte Jacquemus chose the famous casa Malaparte to be the recipient of the show where architectural shapes met lightness and volatility. A duality showcased in the constructed jackets and looser pants, cascading jersey and sheer mousseline.

Shades of blue and yellow were sported on largely open boatnecks and the headscarf styled on several models added the perfect touch of 60’s drama to the presentation. The references to Godard’s Le Mépris were exquisitely on point, from the opening look reminiscent of Brigitte Bardot’s own bathrobe outfit to the location itself, the show transported us to a wonderland of blue sea and bright sun.

Newest addition to the JACQUEMUS closet were “Le Bombola”, an angular shaped bucket bag taking inspiration from architecture and “La Spiaggia” a hand crafted rond-carré bag.

Rooting the house in its southern aesthetic, LA CASA collection is a play between angles and soft lines, strength and softness making it a beautiful wink to Godard’s masterpiece.
