Interview by Jana Letonja @janaletonja

After being discovered by a modeling scout on Instagram, Noah Brown’s career immediately took off with a worldwide exclusive for Louis Vuitton. Since then he has walked the runways of top designers in every fashion market around the world as well as accompanying campaigns for Versace, Calvin Klein, Iceberg fragrance and Moschino.

Noah, you were discovered by a modeling scout on Instagram just a few years ago. Have you ever before thought about being a model?

Yes, I got scouted in Switzerland back in late 2016. I had some people in my circle telling me I should try and that I would do well. It was really when my mother agency, Visage in Zurich, hit me up on Instagram to pass by the agency that I thought I could do something with it. I did not imagine it would be what it’s been.

Your career immediately took off with a worldwide exclusive for Louis Vuitton, walking the show as well as shooting the campaign with iconic visionary Steven Meisel. How did such immediate success feel at the time when you were just beginning your career as a model?

It felt amazing and overwhelming at the same time to be in the presence of a legend. I am fortunate to have worked with some of the greatest names and clients since the age of 17, 18. As I get older and start to reflect on my career, I realize what a great foundation that opportunity was to build on. Now I’m asking myself what is next. Work harder, work better, be great and creative.

Since then, you’ve walked the runways of top designers in every fashion market around the world as well as accompanying campaigns for Versace, Calvin Klein, Iceberg fragrance and Moschino. How have you accommodated to such success and fast paced life, that being a highly sought-after model presents to you?

I would not say that I have ever accommodated to a fast-paced life, but I am working to do so. Key points will be to always stay grounded and surround yourself with great thinkers who also make you feel uncomfortable in a helpful way, to push you through that next door. Teamwork makes dreams work.

You actually grew up studying dance and are trained in ballet, hip hop and contemporary styles. What made dance your first love?

This is a long way back now already. I really used to dance professionally when I was younger. I am now not as trained in dancing as I used to be. What made me love dance is that I grew up watching Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Usher and James Brown on TV.

The photographers and designers are inspired by your dance background. How would you say the art of dance contributed to your modeling career?

Dancing helps me to this day to have a great understanding of body control, which is an advantage when I’m on set. By moving or having static poses to help bring all of the elements of a production flow together like water allows me the chance to really contribute a piece of myself to their vision.

Your unique look is the result of your mom being European and your dad being Cuban. How has this multiethic backgorund influence you and your personality?

Shout out to mom and dad. Where I grew up used to be very multicultural. I say that I am grateful to have seen both cultures and therefore have a bigger perspective on the world’s view.

What are the things your are most passionate about in your spare time?

Everything that includes sports, movement and creativity. I am spending a lot of time in Muay Thai dojos, as well as in studios writing stuff and creating projects, solving problems and finding solutions.

What are your dreams and goals for your future, both for your modeling career and life in general?

It is an incredible journey that I am on and it is crazy to me when I think that I’m playing in the champions league of the industry. With this extraordinary opportunity that I live, I do have goals on what to achieve, what to shoot and what to be known for. But I’d like to talk with actions, not with my words, to achieve all the great goals that I set for myself and to walk without regrets on what I didn’t do.
