Interview by Jana Letonja

Chloe Cherry is an American actress and model. She made her acting debut as Faye on the HBO hit drama series ‘Euphoria’. Next, Chloe will be starring in ‘www.RachelOrmont.com’ and ‘The French Italian’.

Chloe, you made your acting debut as Faye in HBO’s highly popular series ‘Euphoria’. How has this role changed your life?

Faye has changed my life in such a positive way. I’m so grateful for the opportunities it has provided. It opened the door for me to express myself and to learn more. I have met so many people I admire and have worked for companies I’ve always admired.

As Faye, the young woman struggling with substance abuse, you won over the audience with your one-liners and wit. What do you love the most about Faye and ‘Euphoria’ in general?

I love Faye’s style and comments as they add comedic relief in such a tense show about hard and complex topics. I think it’s important to remember to take a second in the midst of life being chaotic and laugh or look at the reality of things. It’s so easy to get swept away.

Why does acting fulfill you? What excites you the most about it?

Acting is fulfilling to me because it allows me to explore and express myself through placing myself in someone else’s shoes. I’m able to make people laugh and revel in the audience’s reaction.

Next, we’ll be seeing you in films ‘www.RachelOrmont.com’ and ‘The French Italian’. Tell us more about those two films.

‘RachelOrmont.com’ is a fun sci-fi movie about a girl and her lifetime in captivity. I play a really fun character. ‘The French Italian’ has really cool people in it, like Cat Cohen, Jon Rudnitsky and Aristotle Athari, who are all very funny. I’m the neighbor and my character has a lot of feelings.

What would you describe as your dream role or a dream project for TV or film?

Probably playing something really fun and different from myself, like Faye. Playing someone scary would be interesting. Something shocking is always fun for me.

The acting industry can be hard on everyone, especially on young actors. What would be your advice to the upcoming talents?

My advice to upcoming talent is to just keep trying and never stop. Never give up.

Besides acting, you’ve also done some modeling, walking the runways at Fashion Week. What intrigues you about fashion?

What intrigues me about fashion is the innovation, the worlds that brands create.

You’ve experienced two fashion weeks, New York and Milan. How do they differ? What was your favorite thing about each of them?

My favorite is Milan. It’s so chic. NYC is cool for more up-and-coming designers.

How would you describe your style and why do you think it’s unique?

I don’t think my style is that unique actually. I think I look like a mix of thrift, explore page, tumblr 2011 – 2013. Small and unique brands are probably the most unique part of my style.

Chloe, what are your dreams and goals for the future of your acting career?

My goals for the future are just to continue and keep playing great roles for everyone to see. I want to continue to transform myself into other people and have the chance to improve my craft.
