A bright, vibrant summer; the joy of being together. The holiday spirit, a magic destination both joyous and serene, with the breeze imperceptibly ruffling the clothes that enfold you. A feeling of lightness makes you float in the sunlight. Now the city begins to fade from memory. The colours of the clothes are sweetly poetic: lemonade, lagoon, lilac, bubble gum, melon… Sometimes the light turns them white, or pastel. Undulating forms of aqueous transparency: some prints seemingly move of their own volition, lines deviating slightly on their sloping path to freedom; here a pocket slides and shifts as if desiring to head outward, creating a perception of depth in subtly supple and constraint-free fine points; there, drops of water are printed on the fabric; elsewhere, a shirt proudly displays a bold and charming sea-horse, or a spectacular giant crayfish. One wonders if it spotted the herbarium with its tumbling leaves growing on the other clothes?

Berlingot canvas, nubuck calfskin, crepe cotton serge, perforated leather, sunset tints, badge-like crests, a jacket-shirt with a pair of shorts, parkas, light windbreakers, straight blousons, shorter, rounder forms, carrot-fit trousers… Precise, crafted with the refinement of the hand and the nonchalance of a mind that is free of barriers, the collection will be revealed in the open-air enclosure of the Manufacture des Gobelins. There, Cyril Teste, close partner of Véronique Nichanian, has conceived a gesture in the form of a canvas sliding out of the building, swaying slightly in the breeze before disappearing — as if diving — through a workshop window. Some seasons, the joy of sunlight makes all things possible.
