The imagery for Gravalot’s Spring/Summer 2023 capsule collection takes place on the blank canvas wall of a foreign dream, against the backdrop of a coarse paradise that embodies home. The collection continues Gravalot’s tradition of developing silhouettes and garments from under-appreciated deadstock materials typically found in local stores and markets, with an emphasis on breathable, woven, natural textiles.

Cuban collar shirts, tailored shorts, wide and split hem trousers populate the capsule while a mix of cotton lace and wool provide the choice of wear for warm days and cool nights.

Shot in Lagos Nigeria during West Africa’s rainy season, heavier “Big Boy” jackets are worn open and without tops, with a cropped buttonless open blazer pushing the boundary of creating men’s dresswear for such an environment.

Gravalot presented the collection digitally on Gravalot’s YouTube channel and Paris Fashion Week Men’s website, Sunday the 26th June 2022 at 17:30 CET.
