Conceived as a meeting point between two crafts, this capsule of bold and contemporary styles introduces a fresh take on the storied Moonlight Grapes collection.

This year marks the first time Georg Jensen revisits the Moonlight Grapes collection through a cross- brand collaboration. The original collection of silver beaded jewellery, launched in 2010, takes inspiration from 1920s Georg Jensen designs and has followed a steep evolutionary course – establishing itself as a timeless brand icon. The Danish design house teamed up with conceptual knitwear brand A. Roege Hove, a rising star in the Copenhagen and international fashion scenes. The brand, named after its founder Amalie Roege Hove, specialises in well-crafted knit designs with a focus on contemporary silhouettes and innovative materials.

“One of the defining elements of Moonlight Grapes is its power to constantly reinvent itself. This collaboration is a meeting point between heritage Art Nouveau- inspired pieces and our century-long expertise in metalwork with A. Roege Hove’s contemporary knitwear designs,”

says Ragnar Hjartarson, Georg Jensen’s creative director.

The resulting capsule collection introduces Moonlight Grapes through an entirely new lens, debuting styles unseen before. Linear and architectural in form, the pieces are built from rows of graduating silver beads which draw from Roege Hove’s systematic approach to knitwear design. Each jewellery piece is defined by a bold and dynamic expression, retaining the essence of Moonlight Grapes while presenting an all-new take on it.

The new collection consists of a necklace, a bracelet, a ring, two pairs of earrings and a brooch, crafted from 100% recycled sterling silver. A selection of pieces – the ring, brooch and earrings – are also available in an oxidised version, which gives the designs a darker colour and a strikingly original look.

The Georg Jensen x A. Roege Hove Moonlight Grapes capsule collection launches worldwide on 6 September 2023.
