Fashion designer David Laport and G-Star RAW introduce a collaboration where casual makes way for couture. Laport was responsible for the design and applied his signature plissé and pleating technique to premium Japanese denim. The result is a capsule collection called ‘Denim After Dark’ and consists of an haute couture dress and a ready-to-wear top.

Denim After Dark

G-Star is constantly pushing the boundaries of denim through high-profile collaborations. The collaboration with David Laport is the latest one to date. Denim after Dark was shot by South African fashion photographer Walter Pierre, paying tribute to nocturnal adventures in denim design.

Couture replaces casual

Laport created a statement piece, giving denim a completely new character with volume, refinement and special details. This couture dress is handmade in Italy. In addition, the designer has designed an approachable translation of the couture dress. The limited edition bow top has the same signature and is again made of premium Japanese denim with tulle.
