Etro launches the new capsule collection ETRO X RJL in collaboration with Etro brand ambassador, Chinese actor Ren Jialun, also known as Allen Ren.

Inspired by the lights of the stars in the night sky, the project springs from a dialogue between the House’s Creative Director, Marco De Vincenzo, and Allen discussing the meaning of the stars and its representation within the new capsule.

When Marco and I started our conversation, I first told him about my childhood memory of a summer night, standing by the sea, watching the stars and feeling their extraordinary strength. That was the moment when I started dreaming about my future, and that light has always guided me.”

“This capsule collection comes from our desire to see Etro’s world through Ren’s eyes. The story of that special moment in Qingdao left me with a magical sensation. The stars are a symbol of light and energy that has perpetually inspired artists throughout the ages. I wanted to reinvent them as a pop element, combined with the iconic Pegaso.”

Stylized in an all-over motif on clothing and accessories, the stars light up a curated selection featuring sporty co-ords with jersey hoodies and joggers as well as poplin shirts and cotton t-shirts offered in tones of blue and white with purple accents. 

Accessories include bucket hats, the leather Etro Essential bag in a special star-studded version, and an exclusive necklace only available in a limited quantity – 411 units – to celebrate Allen’s birthdate and his first collaboration as guest-designer at a fashion house.
