Élodie Ouedraogo goes for real gold with BACARDÍ
ELODIE OUEDRAOGO ENTERS THE RECENTLY REOPEND BACARDÍ® RUM ROOM IN ANTWERP FOR AN EXCLUSIVE SIGNING
BACARDÍ has partnered with the inspiring Élodie Ouedraogo, former athlete and Olympic champion. Together with BACARDÍ, she has designed a limited edition vacuum gift package, the 'Liquid Gold by Élodie' gift package. Not only does it contain a premium aged rum, but some of the gift packages include a bottle dipped in 18-karat gold. A specially designed gold-plated BACARDÍ bottle by Élodie, a true collector's item. In total, BACARDÍ is giving away eight of these gold bottles and only after purchasing and opening the vacuum packaging, will it be revealed who the winners are. Elodie will be signing limited edition giftboxes on Sunday the 12thof December from 14.00 – 16.00.

After previous successes of the Rum Room in Antwerp, BACARDÍ will open the doors of its popular Rum Room in the Schrijnwerkersstraat 12 again on Wednesday, December 1. BACARDÍ invites visitors to step into the world of premium varieties of the world's most awarded rums. The BACARDÍ Rum Room offers only a trio of dark, aged rums; BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro, Reserva Ocho and Gran Reserva Diez. The rums are available in the gift store in an exclusive limited edition gift box, a great gift for the cold holidays. The gift packaging this year was designed by former Olympic champion Élodie Ouedraogo. Élodie gives the premium rums a touch of gold with an exclusive and limited edition 'Liquid Gold by Élodie' gift package. The BACARDÍ Rum Room will be open for visits from December 1 to December 31.
Añejo Cuatro, Reserva Ocho & Gran Reserva Diez
In addition to the well-known rums such as BACARDÍ Carta Blanca, BACARDÍ Spiced and the Flavoured range, BACARDÍ also offers dark, aged rums that have a strong character due to the aging in oak barrels. The BACARDÍ Rum Room is dedicated to these rums. The youngest, aged premium rum is four-year-old BACARDÍ Anejo Cuatro. The shimmering, golden rum has a honeyed flavor, balanced with mild vanilla and roasted oak. Añejo Cuatro can be drunk 'on the rocks', but is best enjoyed in a classic rum cocktail, such as a Highball mixed with Ginger Ale. The eight-year-old BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho is a complex golden rum with a deep, layered and smooth flavor of dried fruit, spice, oak and vanilla. This rum is inspired by a family recipe from 1862 and for seven generations was reserved only for the BACARDÍ family itself. The rum is perfect for sipping pure and lends itself well to cocktails with allure such as an Old Fashioned or an Old Cuban. Gran Reserva Diez has yet another expression and is not just an older version of Ocho. Diez has something unique about it. Take a sip of this ten year old rum and you will discover lots of oak and caramelized fruit. Some believe they can also detect melon, banana or mango in it. This rum is best drunk straight, with or without an ice cube.
