As we entered the vibrant heart of Le Marais, arguably Paris’ most enchanting neighbourhood, we found ourselves at the doorstep of Parisian elegance and history embodied by Hôtel Le Grand Mazarin. Insight we were enveloped in a classy yet playful ambiance, reminiscent of the whimsical world of a Wes Anderson film with pastel hues embellishing every corner and the staff donning those distinctive purple uniforms. Diverse paintings by international artisans adorned the walls, while the extravagant decor, designed and curated by Martin Brudnizki, elevated the interior to a unique level of sophistication.

Upon checking in at the charming foyer, where a glass of champagne set the tone for our stay, we were escorted to our suite – a space full of elegant, whimsical details. From the herringbone patterned parquet floor to the Aubusson-style tapestry bed canopy, antique furniture and vintage objects, the room was nothing short of luxury. Seashells embedded in the wallpaper and custom-designed rugs with baroque details added character, creating a cosy and distinctive ambiance.

Later that evening, dining at the hotel’s Boubalé restaurant was a delightful experience, with Michelin-starred chef Assaf Granit’s Ashkenazi cuisine offering a versatile and exquisite menu. Adjacent to the restaurant, we unwinded with high-end signature cocktails in the chic setting of Le Bar, the hotel’s lounge, until late into the night.

Amidst the buzz of fashion week, Hôtel Le Grand Mazarin truly provided a peaceful retreat for us, highlighted by its avant-garde swimming pool adorned with sumptuous mosaics and delicate stone marquetry – an artwork in itself. The vaulted ceiling and columns, decorated with a fresco by visual artist Jacques Merle, created a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation.

This 5-star gem in the heart of the city truly honours Parisian heritage through its exquisite design, eclectic art, and attentive staff. Whether unwinding or enjoying conviviality, Hôtel Le Grand Mazarin embodies the spirit of Paris with tranquil yet chic luxury, radiating both maximalism and warmth.
