DIOR PRESENTS THE PLAN DE PARIS MOTIF, REPRESENTING EXCELLENT SAVOIR-FAIRE

Dior is revealing the Plan de Paris as it enhances the looks of the Dior spring-summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection dreamed up by Maria Grazia Chiuri. This poetic design inspired by a scarf created by Christian Dior in the 1950s invites us to explore the locations that unite Dior and the capital, from Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, where the founding-couturier happened upon his lucky star, to 30 Avenue Montaigne, the House’s iconic address where the excellence of its savoir faire shines.

In a subtle interplay of shading and perspectives, the streets and monuments of the City of Light adorn a selection of outstanding womenswear. Infinitely meticulous, precise gestures are required for the delicate sketches to be applied to a square of silk, as if it were a marvelous painting. In turn, the emblematic Dior Book Tote is distinguished by magnificently graphic nuances brought to life in the Dior Ateliers thanks to an exclusive, innovative three-dimensional embroidery technique: a virtuoso process that produces unique visual, textured effects. A celebration of magical meandering.
