Dior is inaugurating a series of pop-up stores around the world to celebrate the Dior Tears capsule, the result of a collaboration between Kim Jones and guest designer Denim Tears. Combining the elegant and the singular, the casual and the classic, this selection of men’s creations is essentially inspired by denim: bags – such as the iconic saddle or the Dior Lingot – along with B33 sneakers are made from this timelessly stylish material.

Between dream and enchantment, each of the ephemeral boutiques revealing these models is adorned with monumental installations dotted with gigantic inflatables that occupy the interior. Visible from the surrounding streets, their organic shapes compose an inhabited, alternative universe, where sounds, shadows and lights are perceived differently – as if filtered – conveying a strange, poetic atmosphere.

Punctuated by musical sessions, these spherical works metamorphose into living spaces full of surprises. They are notably enhanced with video projections echoing the logo specially conceived for this Dior collection, which comes in a profusion of flowers. A digital production elaborated by artist Azuma Makoto’s studio, which visitors will be invited to download using a QR code.

An exceptional encounter at the crossroads of art and fashion, eras and cultures.
