Searching For Your Rhythm

As part of the Diaspora, one shares the feeling of growing up in a country or culture that doesn’t belong to them. The space feels temporary, and a sense of belonging is missing. The search for a rhythm that feels natural, good, and comfortable becomes essential.

Your natural rhythm is found at home and within your community. This season, prints and graphics showcase a mass of people finding their rhythm and living in harmony with the rhythms of others, reflecting the essence of the Daily Paper community. This rhythm is translated onto co-ords, hoodies, tees, and a tailored women’s suit.

Recognising Your Rhythm

Natural rhythms guide all that we do – our very existence. Not only are there external rhythms and cycles, but there are also internal rhythms and cycles.

Earth also dances along with many other rhythms. The delicate balance between these natural cycles influences the Earth’s environment and supports life.

The natural rhythm of the migration of animals is reflected in prints on cargo-style attire, tees, and hoodies.

Monogram and Macrame Denim Jacquard

Introducing new denim styles this season. ‘Fresh’ features custom denim jacquard fabric with an all-over macramé pattern, available in a unisex jacket, pants, and a matching skirt with unique asymmetrical details. Daily Paper monogram denims make a return in light blue and sand blue, evoking a vintage feel. Also, explore the dark blue denim with a destroyed monogram, now featuring a zipper on the jacket. Another addition is the inside-out denim showcasing an all-over monogram. The cropped jacket boasts a dropped shoulder silhouette, oversized sleeves, and the option to close it asymmetrically.

Artist Collab With Alexis Tsebga

Alexis Tsegba is a Nigerian visual artist known for her complex digital collages that frame real people in magical or surreal settings. She frequently explores elements of Afrofuturism, identity, religion, and gender through thought-provoking concepts. For Daily Paper, Alexis created a futuristic landscape used as a digital print on various styles. The prints showcase different shapes coming together, forming a rhythm and conveying an element of searching for your rhythm within a group.

New Cargo Styles

This season introduces new cargo styles, including a jacket and pants for women, and a vest and shorts for men. All pieces are crafted from heavy cotton with monogram jacquard and a soft lining, available in the colour pine green.

Gradient Shield Logo

The Kirabo Cardigan features a gradient shield jacquard pattern, offering a subtle decoration that complements the boxy silhouette. The Ivy Shield Dress is crafted from a unique combination of gradient mesh fabric and a self-fabric lining, adorned with a large all-over shield print. The result is an elegant silhouette that gracefully hugs the body.

Seasonal Knitwear

For this season the Zuberi Crochet Sweater is constructed from a geometric cable shield and crochet knit fabric that is premium in both look and feel. Made from the same soft fabric is the Izara Crochet Dress. Available in the colourways grey and halogen blue, this dress boasts a long and elegant silhouette, accentuated by a high-leg slither.

More Leisure Styles

Introducing the Halif track jacket and pants in silver green, crafted from a cotton ripstop fabric with mesh lining. The pants feature an adjustable bottom hem on the legs. Additionally, the unisex style Juma tee, with an oversized fit, is adorned with an inserted shoulder tape showcasing a debossed Daily Paper logotype. Also available in black and white and a hoodie version.

Rhythm Of Unity

New artwork and fonts on hoodies and tees reflect this season’s inspiration. Various fonts are combined to represent the diversity in rhythms. Fingerprint motifs, unique to each individual, symbolize identity with their natural rhythmic patterns. When these fingerprints come together, they create a collective rhythm. The artwork exudes an informative and newspaper vibe, portraying the rhythm of unity.

The brand’s statement Cimbia bags-Codu, Meru, and Nay-are now available in the new Moonstruck Grey colourway. Especially for the summer, the Meru and Nay bags are also offered in baby blue, alongside a grey bucket hat and several caps.
