We had a delight chatting with Kim Lee.

Tell our readers who you are and what you do.

I’m Kim Lee born and raised in LA. I’m DJ/Model and the host of Yo! MTV Raps Asia. Basically I do a lil bit of everything.

Tell us more about your up-coming project for 2021, with top producer Jeff Jenkins.

When Crazy Rich Asians movie came out couple years back. It was a big deal for a lot of Asian Americans because it was literally our “ Black Panther” movie. After that many tv networks approached me. So the universe did it’s magic and linked me to Jeff.

Anybody that’s in the tv/film business will know who Jeff Jenkins is. He’s the producer of The Kardashians and such an amazing person all around. I can’t say much but we got some exciting things coming soon

How was it like performing at festivals such as Ultra? Do you miss performing this year and do you plan on doing more of that once festivals are back on track?

It’s an incredible feeling. I totally miss performing. For people like me in the music industry that are used to being on the road all the time it was definitely a huge change. I’ve never taken a weekend off ever before but I’ve got different projects I’m working on and I’ve been focused on that. All my shows has been rescheduled for next year.

What has been the highlight for you so far in 2020, given the year it has been?

Highlight of the year for me is being home more with my family and doing a lot of self care which I never really had time to do and really focus on other important things in my life.

Tell us something that is not on your resume.

I’m a very spiritual person. I love going to spiritual stores and have many different crystals and sage at home. I also love reading.

Have you been able to be creative throughout this year? And what projects have you been working on?

I think for many creatives we always gotta stay creative or we’ll lose our minds! Haha yes I’m always creating content and collaborating with different brands and magazines.
