On Sunday, 26 May 2024, Charles Leclerc wins, for the first time, the trophy of the 81st Grand Prix de Monaco™, presented in its bespoke Louis Vuitton trunk. For the fourth consecutive year, the Automobile Club de Monaco joined forces with Louis Vuitton to present a unique Trophy Trunk for the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco™.

Crafted at the Maison’s historical atelier in Asnières, the trunk illustrates the traditional savoir-faire of Louis Vuitton while taking inspiration from the codes of this iconic race, celebrating its 81st edition this year. The red colour of the Monaco flag adorns the emblematic Monogram, while the red lines that form a “V” for “Victory” are accented with a white band reminiscent of the unique track that forms the event’s urban circuit, where excellence in driving requires both power and precision. This bespoke trunk in the colours of the Principality houses the trophy, shaped like the 19 curves of this 3.337 km-long circuit.

The Trophy Trunk carries forth a tradition that is important to the Maison: crafting bespoke cases for the trophies of the world’s most emblematic sports competitions. These have notably included the FIFA World Cup™, the Ballon d’Or, the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy of the NBA, the Rugby World Cup 2023 France, the Davis Cup, the French Open, the Australian Open, the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the America’s Cup. Organised by the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) and under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco™ is one of the most glamorous and widely watched events worldwide. It celebrates the greatest champions including – but not limited to – Fangio, Hill, Moss, Stewart, Senna, Prost, Schumacher, and more recently Alonso, Vettel, Rosberg, Ricciardo, Hamilton, Perez and Verstappen, proving once again that “Victory travels in Louis Vuitton”.
