Cartier remains the official partner of the 79th Venice Film Festival ”Biennale Cinema 2022.” for the second year in a row. Cartier’s official partnership with the Venice international Film Festival, launched in 2021, is part of the maison’s deep commitment and passion for art – with film in particular. Cartier emphasizes the importance of contemporary art, during the presentation of the ”Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker Award”: an award dedicated to a personality who has made an outstanding contribution to the film industry. The film festival is also an opportunity for the Maison to highlight the interaction between the different art forms by organizing ”Cartier Art Dialogues”: two master classes to explore the relationship between film and music.

“Dialogues with the art world have always been a source of creative inspiration for the Maison, whether in contemporary art, film or music. Our collaboration with the Mostra is a new opportunity to bridge between all the artistic disciplines that are close to our hearts”. Arnaud Carrez, Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer

Art and culture have always been closely linked to the history of Cartier, which, over the course of its time, could be seen in the credits of world-famous films – but also on the red carpets. More than a century of legends, from María Félix to Josette Day, from Grace Kelly to Catherine Deneuve, have inspired Cartier to create an exhibition of jewels from the Cartier Collection, which will also take place in Venice from August 30 to September 10. In addition to the events, Cartier is supporting a series of initiatives to preserve Venice’s cultural heritage and contribute to the ongoing development of the city’s cultural life.

This week of tribute to the film will be interspersed with various previews and evening events to which the ambassadors and the Friends of the Maison will be invited. The initiative will take place from September 1 to 11, 2022.
