Carhartt WIP and the Japanese bag brand RAMIDUS have joined forces to create a collection of practical items for everyday use, drawing inspiration from elements in the music and skate world.

Founded in Harajuku, Tokyo, in 2019 as the successor of Head Porter, RAMIDUS builds on two decades of experience in premium bags and luggage, aiming to set a “new standard” in the industry. The collection comprises nine products that incorporate Carhartt WIP’s durable, water-repellent Duck Canvas, staying true to the brand’s roots and the subculture from which it emerged.

Some items, like the spacious tote bags with multiple pockets and the hip and shoulder bags, are designed to appeal to a broad audience. Others cater to specific niches, such as the DJ Bag, which can hold 40 12-inch vinyl records. RAMIDUS also worked on the Kickflip Bag, Carhartt WIP’s signature bag equipped with buckles and straps to attach a skateboard, a staple in their collections.

The collaboration also includes an oversized tote bag, a fusion of a wallet and waist bag aptly named Wallet Pouch, and a sleek carry bag. Each item features a nylon lining and was designed with comfort and practicality in mind. The collection boasts a subtle color palette of white and Carhartt WIP’s iconic Hamilton Brown. To add a special touch, custom woven labels with the Carhartt WIP x RAMIDUS logo were incorporated into the designs.

For the visuals of this collaboration, the talented Kento Mori was enlisted. The shoot took place in Tokyo, featuring renowned DJ Muro, skater Yuma Takei, and model Mamina Kagami in front of the lens.

This collection reflects the perfect blend of functionality and style, embracing the essence of both Carhartt WIP and RAMIDUS while celebrating the vibrant worlds of music and skate culture.
