Calvin Klein’s latest campaign, This is Love , launches today and celebrates with the chosen families within the LGBTQIA+ community. Our group of friends, partners, lovers, neighbors, allies and more, share what “family” means to them. This highlights the important connections within the LGBTQIA+ community. The campaign consists of a clothing collection that offers a new look at Pride.

The cast for this Pride campaign has been captured by Brooklyn-based photographer and artist John Edmonds. He has shown the emotional sense of “family” by capturing the campaign as a photo album featuring pioneers, entertainers and advocates from the LGBTQIA+ community. The chosen family includes: filmmaker John Waters with Mink Stole, actress Sasha Lane and Sergio Lane, team members of LGBTQIA+ youth organization The Trevor Project, musician Snail Mail and her crew, the legendary ballroom community House of Xtravaganza, hairstylist Holli Smith with her fiancé Pony, actor Justice Smith along with friend and actor Nic Ashe and the Afrofuturist art collective TRIBE Collective.

Styled in the This is Love collection, paired with Calvin Klein essentials, the cast is captured with their loved ones in a calm setting where connection, intimacy and the playful side of their relationship are revealed. This campaign is non-traditional, unconditional and above all real: this is ‘family’ through the lens of Calvin Klein.

The This is Love collection – consisting of clothing, underwear and activewear – has colors inspired by the Progress Pride flag. Each item has a label woven with the colors the flag represents: black for beauty ; brown for power; pink for sex ; orange for healing ; yellow for sunlight† brown for harmony; white for non-binary; turquoise for magic; blue for serenity . The updated underwear collection has combinations of fabrics and colors that give a nod to the close bonds that can be seen across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum of sexuality, gender identity and sex.

In 2022, Calvin Klein has pledged $400,000 so far to support NGOs fighting for LGBTQIA+ interests, equality, security and justice.

Three contributors from The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth, are represented in the campaign. Calvin Klein is a proud supporter and financial sponsor of the pioneering work of The Trevor Project, which provides essential 24/7 crisis services via phone, text and chat, as well as suicide prevention programs and other resources to help LGBTQIA+ youth and their families, educators and supporters.

Calvin Klein also supports ILGA World’s initiatives as the global voice of LGBTQIA+ networks, communities and movements that continue to work for a world where everyone can live safely, equally and freely.

In addition, in 2022, Calvin Klein will continue to partner with PFLAG National and Transgender Law Center to support their critical work advancing LGBTQIA+ education, safety, inclusion and justice.

Calvin Klein Australia also continues its partnership with BlaQ Aboriginal Corporation to continue increasing the visibility of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTQIA+ community.
