Café Garçon brings third arrondissement of Paris to Amsterdam Oud-Zuid

People-watching on the terrace, sipping a full bordeaux and enjoying flavorful escargots. The heart of Amsterdam Oud-Zuid is getting a French twist with the opening of Café Garçon. At the bistro on Johannes Verhulststraat, you can enjoy the classic French cuisine.

Settle down for lunch, dinner or apéro at Café Garçon. The menu shines in its simplicity and has many classics. For example, at lunch you can enjoy a salad Nicoise with fresh tuna or a baguette with steak and gruyere. Or a classic steak tartare or a rotisserie chicken. Or apero; Blinis with warm smoked salmon or Escargots.

In addition, a lot of love goes into the wine list. The sommelier selected with several wine importers 90 wines, with extra attention to the white bourgognes and red bordeaux.

Ode to France

The restaurant on Johannes Verhulst exudes the atmosphere of a French bistro. The interior and the menu form a harmonious interaction. With the antique tiles, the characteristic lamps and wooden furniture, you can imagine yourself in the interbellum period. The gobelin tapestry has a prominent place in the bistro and is an ode to France.
