Tonight Bulgari celebrated the opening of the immersive exhibition Serpenti Metamorphosis, born from the collaboration with Refik Anadol, with an exclusive opening party at Saatchi Gallery dedicated to international press, celebrities and friends of the brand.

Celebrating Bulgari’s legendary snake icon, the innovative AI data sculpture, commissioned by the Roman Maison and realized by the multi-award-winning new media artist and director Refik Anadol, represents the second chapter of a journey which started last year in Piazza Duomo in Milan, with the first unveiling of the ground-breaking installation. The special event also represents the first in a long series of celebrations planned for 2023, the year of the 75th anniversary of the Bulgari Serpenti legendary sign.

The evening saw the participation of many VIP guests and celebrities such as Lashana Lynch, Becky Hill, Jessica Kate Plummer, Sabrina Elba, Suki Waterhouse, James and Alizee Middleton, Fabien Frankel and Tom Hiddleston all welcomed by Lelio Gavazza, Bulgari’s executive Vice President Sales and Retail, Joyce Weng, Bulgari’s UK Managing Director together with Lucia Silvestri, Bulgari’s Jewellery Creative Director, and Laura Burdese, Bulgari’s Global Marketing and Communication Vice President.

After having previewed the Serpenti Metamorphosis AI data exhibition, guests were entertained by acclaimed DJ duo Mangata Projekt, the stage name of Tasos Filippou and Thanos Makris, who created a buzzing atmosphere with their deep melodic house and techno sounds, while the award-winning American singer Eve delighted the party crowd with her most iconic songs during a stellar performance.

Opening its doors to the public starting from November 25thsSerpenti Metamorphosis exhibition will bring visitors through a unique immersive journey. An innovative combination of art and technology, this multimedia artwork generated by artificial intelligence results from algorithms trained with 200 million images of nature. Transforming nature into data and data into abstract, poetic images, Anadol offers an exciting and multi-sensory interpretation of the concept of metamorphosis, understood as change from one form to another.

To complete the immersive experience, the setup is enriched with Bulgari Serpenti archive images and sketches in dialogue with an exclusive selection of Serpenti jewellery and watch creations spanning from the 1940’s to the present day and perfectly illustrating the unceasing evolution of the icon and its deep connection with the world of women.

Furthermore, a fragrance developed by artificial intelligence will permeate the spaces of the exhibition. Named Rainforest Serpenti, this exclusive olfactive experience is the result of the collaboration between Bulgari and Refik Andol with perfume designer Firmenich, master perfumer Sophie Labbé and Integra Fragrances.

The exhibition will take place at Saatchi Gallery, London from November 25th until December 23rd in Gallery 3, with free entry available to book on Bulgari.com.
