Bottega Veneta launched Bottega Firehouse in Corktown, Detroit at 1201 Bagley Street on Saturday, 16 October. The brand collaborated with Detroit creatives to develop the space, which will remain open through 16 January 2022. The space debuts alongside the Salon 03 presentation of the brand’s Spring Summer 2022 collection, taking place on 21 October at the historic Michigan Building Theatre. Salon 03 marks the first U.S. edition of the brand’s Salon series, with previous iterations in London and Berlin, making Detroit its third stop.

Bottega Veneta admires the enormous cultural influence of Detroit's music, design and engineering innovations. The brand, led by Creative Director Daniel Lee, worked in close collaboration with Detroit-based partners to organize the space. Highlights include a record store by Underground Music Academy, a reading room by Asmaa Walton, design works by Chris Schanck and Aratani Fay, textiles by Substudio, furnishings by Donut Shop, ceramics by Hamtramck Ceramck, relief sculptures by Sophie Eisner and a selection of printed matter curated by Ruben Cardenas. Born in the industrial North of England, Lee is fascinated by Detroit and has been eager to collaborate since his first visit in 2015. After his appointment in 2018, Lee has become renowned for bringing the luxury brand into the future with his truly independent approach to fashion. He looks forward to ongoing collaborations in North America, and in the coming months, will host similar experiences in other American cities.
