Alongside the Winter 23 campaign, Bottega Veneta introduces a limited-edition set of books in a fanzine format, free of charge, from Thursday, 7 September, across all Bottega Veneta stores worldwide.

Since Matthieu Blazy’s Winter 22 foundation collection, Bottega Veneta’s books have been released together with each show collection launch in-store. Conceived a collectable objects, each book set delves into a season’s creative references and visual narratives as a more intimate translation of Blazy’s creative direction. The books nod to the collective spirit of the brand.

Across four volumes, the Winter 23 books reveal the collection’s creative process with original sketches, campaign outtakes, and behind-the-scenes images. The hands and minds of expert craftspeople, designers, and artists contribute to the season’s concept of craft in motion as a collective effort.

Closing Blazy’s “Italia trilogy”, the collection celebrates the parade of a multiplicity of diverse characters. Innovative craft unfolded seemingly endless possibilities, splicing codes of volume and technique, reimagining materials, and finding fresh, unexpected expressions for the house’s signature Intrecciato craft.

Collages and fabric close-ups celebrate the collection’s richness of texture and tactility. Original sketches by the British Cypriot designer Hussein Chalayan and commissioned by Blazy, accentuate the fluidity and energy of different looks, while campaign outtakes show the artistry and dynamism of the designs entering everyday life. And behind-the-scenes photographs of Vieni a Vedere following the commission to Gaetano Pesce to realise a site-specific artwork in the Bottega Veneta Sant’Andrea Milan store.

The four volumes are encased in a special slipcase printed in the Stracciatella inspired pattern of the Winter 23 show floor.
