For the design and creation of the FW23 capsule collection BIMBA Y LOLA joins Palomo Spain, under the name of BIMBA Y PALOMO. A fusion from which a space for creative and technical experimentation is born; a celebration of the common spirit that highlights the local feelings of both brands.

The avant-garde and groundbreaking language of BIMBA Y LOLA merges for the first time with the artisanal and genderless invoice that characterizes the brand led by Alejandro Gómez Palomo since 2015. Created in his studio-workshop in Posadas, Palomo Spain has revolutionized high fashion by stripping away labels and prejudices from this small Andalusian town, making folklore and passion for craftsmanship a creative expression capable of seducing the whole world and new generations. Two worlds apparently different but with something in common: an identity as personal as cosmopolitan, meet in New York City to come to life during Palomo Spain’s runway show at NYFW September 2023.

The BIMBA Y PALOMO collection is a black, white and red canvas that uses the rose as a common thread. This element appears in the form of a translucent print on handmade knitwear, or as a dense cloak on mini-dresses, sweaters and halter-neck tops. The rose is also the main jewel of the collection, whether through necklaces, bracelets and XXL earrings, or in the form of a bouquet of rings.

The leather work, so deeply rooted in the craftsmanship of our workshops, acquires a vertiginous language in leather pieces that include maxi coats, skirts and biker jackets, capable of fusing biker aesthetics with nods to the faralaes costume and the universe of the corsairs with ruffles, corsetry details and ruffles. This Spanish imaginary is transferred to the garment that sublimates the entire collection, an asymmetrical slip dress in triacetate satin that draws the tail of a flamenco dress.

Photographed by artist Grant James-Thomas during the presentation of the collection at NYFW, the BIMBA Y PALOMO campaign revives a journey full of contrasts between the common roots of the two brands. The Briton’s vertiginous optic full of chiaroscuro also reveals the most sought-after accessories of the collection, such as the straight high boots, a leather bag in the shape of a rose or the reinterpretation of his emblematic Pocket bag in XXL size in the trio of colors of the collection. Pure passion.

This collection will be on sale on the BIMBA Y LOLA APP from October 25th, and selected stores and bimbaylola.com from October 26th.
