RENAISSANCE, Beyoncé’s new album, appeared on July, 29th. The successor of Lemonade from 2016 was written by the singer during the pandemic. Last month, Beyoncé surprised her fans with the first single Break My Soul. The song now has more than 135 million streams and more than 20 million views on YouTube.

The writing of RENAISSANCE was a liberating experience for Beyoncé, the singer said in an Instagram post: “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.
