WEDNESDAY-AUGUST 31ST


On Wednesday circular fashion brand MARTAN will show their new collection at the Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam, made of their discarded hotel linen and restaurant tablecloths, visually inspired by the aesthetics of the hotel. Afterwards, the brand 1/OFF will show its new collection consisting of designer vintage transformed into a modern unique design at the Contemporary Art Space in Amsterdam Noord. The first day of Amsterdam Fashion Week will be closed by internationally celebrated fashion brand Wandler with an extravagant party to celebrate its 5th anniversary in collaboration with artist Elsemarijn Bruys.

THURSDAY- SEPTEMBER 1st


On Thursday, Róhe Frames introduces, “Crafted Columns,” a world where craftsmanship meets collaboration and where guests are stimulated by a visual and tactile art installation handmade by Dutch design artist Fransje Gimbrere. Afterwards, iconic designer duo Viktor&Rolf will create a unique brand experience inspired by their Mariage collection, Tulle designs, Mister Mister and Everywear collections and perfumes. ThenClaes Iversen will present his new couture collection 2022 in the building at Rokin 49, followed by a presentation by sustainable couture designer Ronald van der Kemp.


In the evening, new womenswear label Francon, with collections inspired by functional archetypes in architecture, presents a show at Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. The Thursday evening concludes with the launch of the AFW sweater in collaboration with Belgian NFT artist VEXX and a performance by Steve Madden. Under the creative flag of Dutch designer Duran Lantink, Steve Madden will present his new fall/winter collection ’22 through an interactive performance in the unique setting of the Moulin Rouge in the heart of Amsterdam.

FRIDAY- SEPTEMBER 2nd


On Friday the winners of the Lichting 2020 and 2021 are on the program in the building of Adyen on the Rokin. Darwin Winklaar (NIÑO DIVINO) presents ‘AMEMOIA’, a performance based on dreams from his childhood, and Roxane Mbanga presents through an installation ‘Histoires de femmes’. Afterwards pre-owned designer label The Collectives opens their first store at 111 Elandsstraat, where items can be rented as well as bought.
In the evening AFW for Lichting returns to Capital C, where the best graduates of the seven Dutch fashion academies present their work to professionals and press. The evening then closes with a performance by Atelier Reservé in collaboration with Bud, represented by a combination of fashion, sound design and performance art.

SATURDAY-SEPTEMBER 3rd


On Saturday, Amsterdam-based fashion brand Catwalk Junkie will exhibit a series of their Comfort Studio campaign images focusing on the freedom of movement of today’s women, along with artworks by London-based illustrator Beth Fraser. Afterwards, Belgian couture house NATAN will showcase its latest collection at The Valley in Amsterdam Zuid.
On Saturday, the FOUR Amsterdam store at Van Baerlestraat 9-11 will be the central location for the new AFW x VEXX sweater and the afterparty to end Amsterdam Fashion Week festively.

Backstage the creative direction is once again in the hands of our beauty partners MAC Cosmetics, Wella Professionals and Sebastian Professional. In addition, LVMH will be present to provide all guests with a glass of champagne and cocktails.

THE HUB
The HUB is back this year as an interactive multi-brand concept store: a place where fashion, beauty and art come together. In addition, The HUB will host Talks & Podcasts and will host Drinks & Beats by ELLE. This year TikTok is a proud partner of The HUB. Followers of the @amsterdamfashionweek TikTok account get pre-access to the shows, talks and podcasts and are the first to know about concepts taking place at The HUB.
