The emerging fashion designer presented her first partly physical, partly digital collection.

Fashion designer Anika Opara presented her first womenswear collection Glitch under the brand Aemona on 23rd of October at 6pm online.

THE COLLECTION:

The Glitch collection draws inspiration from the information age and the fast pace of life that we live in. Glitches that occur in the system are often the result of information overload. These unexpected errors can be seen as a visual representation of a constantly distracted mind. “With the collection I wanted to remind the individual to strengthen their information filter and reduce the possibility of the negative consequences with a quality selection of important information,” says Opara. The Glitch collection features a variety of unique colourful prints. They are inspired by glitches in programs and resemble computer screens. The collection is designed with quality materials and consists of several individual pieces of clothing that can be worn and combined in many ways. The collection is also partly digital. The two presented digital outfits are part of the same collection and can be also realized into physical clothing. The deconstructions and asymmetries in patterns are harmonically designed. Its purpose is to emphasize the story of unexpected errors while still while still featuring aesthetically appealing clothing.
