ABODI PRESENTS THEIR NEW COLLECTION
The latest SS22 collection shown at Milan Fashion Week is a time traveling summer imagination for ABODI, an adventure to a young and sophisticated aesthetic. Inspired from childhood memories of family summers, old friends, faded postcard color palette and small holiday treasures, like shells and colorful little pebbles: ABODI's summer recalls a lustful, mediterranean sensualism and sensitivity, summer flings in a modern approach. ABODI's Transyvanian roots with its Mythological creatures are always part of the collection, this time the special creatures appear as hand drawn graphic art reminiscent of woodcut as minimalistic prints strategically placed on the washed color pieces.
ABODI created a special story in Greece, exclusively for Numero, with long time collaborator and photographer Szilveszter Mako, recalling the nostalgic adventurous summers, featuring the new muse, the Greek-Ethiopian heritage beauty Athina Koini, a former athlete, embodying the ABODI women: intelligent, strong, adventurous, sensual and curious, proudly vulnerable and brave at the same time, citizen of the world but proud of the heritage.
