In the heart of Marrakech lies El Fenn, a place where vibrant bohemian charm meets exquisite culinary experiences. With its stunning rooftop offering panoramic views of the city and Atlas Mountains, El Fenn promises a memorable time. Join me as I share a delightful lunch at this enchanting venue, where each dish is a celebration of local flavors and ingredients.

Stepping into El Fenn in the heart of Marrakech feels like entering a vibrant, bohemian oasis. El Fenn’s rooftop is the most beautiful in town, providing a panoramic view of Marrakech, including the majestic Koutoubia Mosque and the distant Atlas Mountains. The setting is perfect – billowing drapes, sun-dappled patios, and lantern-lit paths create a serene yet vibrant atmosphere.

We began our meal with a selection of five fresh seasonal Moroccan salads, each bursting with flavor and color. The spicy cauliflower with braised cherry tomatoes, cheese pastries, zucchini and mint tart, falafels, Moroccan galettes, and fire-grilled, deliciously spiced shrimp were a symphony of tastes and textures. Each dish was a testament to El Fenn’s commitment to using local, seasonal ingredients.

To end this culinary journey on a sweet note, we indulged in a caramelized apple tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The tart was perfectly balanced, with the richness of caramel and the lightness of the pastry harmonizing beautifully.

“The rooftop setting of El Fenn is enchanting, and the food is an exquisite symphony of flavors. Paired with a fine bottle of Moroccan white wine, each bite felt like a dance of flavors on my palate. It was an unforgettable culinary experience. If you find yourself in Marrakech, don’t miss the chance to have lunch at El Fenn.”
